Career & Technical Education

What is CTE?

Career & Technical Education (CTE) is a department through which students can earn endorsements and certifications as a part of their high school diploma, in addition to gaining skills that are in high demand for career and college avenues in the post high school world. Students may select from "pathways" of elective types that help prepare them for a self-selected career area, and may also lead to certification in a particular field. House Bill 5 is the initiative that supports CTE programs.

Brownsboro High School offers students numerous career pathways in which to explore and develop skills as well as earn certifications to make our students more employable upon graduation either from BHS or college.  They are as follows:

  • Agriculture Food and Natural Resources

  • Arts, Audio/Visual Technology and Communications

  • Business Marketing & Finance

  • Education & Training

  • Health Science

  • Manufacturing (Engineering & Robotics)

  • Culinary
