The 2016-2017 school year is going to be an exciting one. It will begin with new assignments for teachers and getting to experience new materials and literature with the students. I am so excited to be teaching Juniors and Seniors this year. My focus will be making students college-ready and enhancing the classroom learning with interesting work and reading. I look forward to getting to know each of my students.
This will be my 27th year of teaching and my 7th year at Brownsboro High School. I hold a Master's Degree in Educational Administration, a Bachelor of Science Degree in English and Speech Communication. I attended TVCC for my Associates, UT of Tyler for my Bachelors, and Grand Canyon University for my Masters. I enjoy learning and being a student, as well as being a teacher! We never grow too old to learn!
I am married and have three grown children. I live at Lake Athens and enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the country. We have a Min-Pin named Daisey, who thinks she owns her masters and the house. She is really a nice pet.
My prayer for this year is to be a good example to my students, teach them all I can and prepare them for the real world, regardless of the path they may take. With the Lord on my side, I can do all things through Him, who strengthens me.
